PROJECT OVERVIEW

601 S Jefferson Davis Parkway

The new YWCA facility will be a two story 16,967 square foot building located at the corner of South Jefferson Davis and D’ Hemecourt.

EDUCATIONAL CORE

Training Space

The proposed Training spaces will be used for miscellaneous training, meetings, and small gatherings that can occur simultaneously.

Resource/ Research Area

The proposed Resource area will provide an area for computer access and resource materials that can be utilized for training and counseling. The Resource area is adjacent to the Training spaces acting as a transitional space that ca be utilized either before or after gatherings.

Fitness (2nd Floor)

The proposed Fitness area will house workout equipment to be used by Women utilizing the facility. Second floor location provides security and separation from public functions occurring on the first floor and general public.

FACILITY & STAFF

Offices and Support Spaces

The proposed facility includes offices for the Executive Director, Director’s Assistant, Accountant, and coordinator. A small conference room is also incorporated as a space for staff to gather for small meetings or with members of the public.

Support Spaces consist of a copy area integrated in the circulation space along with file storage.
